City Bikes are Better Than Walking

I was in the city the other day. I always say “the city” as if the entire world knows exactly which city I am talking about-New York City, of course. And I bet that right now you are picturing the city in your head, with all of its elegance and dirtiness. Being a Long Island girl, I never really feel at home in the city even though I go there quite frequently. I never can get used to the noise and volumes of people and taxis and buses and city bikes whizzing by.

Why I Believe That More People Should Ride City Bikes

Being a small child I can recall when I rode a bicycle for the first time in my life and getting the rush and sensations that came from being on two wheels. There was nothing I enjoyed then getting outside and taking my bike out on the street for a couple of minutes each day. Now that I have a car, I really don’t have any time to ride a bicycle anymore, but it has become a need for some people. In urban spaces there are many individuals learning how to operate city bikes, some of them are even trying to use a bike for the very first time.
